ZAP will update the prices of its services.

Through a press release, the ZAP informs that, given the changes in the national economy, in particular the devaluation of the Kwanza national currency, the company has been facing great difficulties in paying its international suppliers and in carrying out its commercial activities.

ZAP anticipates that, as a satellite television operator, the channels that make up its grid, are bought internationally, and paid high amounts for the rights of transmission of the same. Similarly, foreign currency and the costs of the technology associated with the service and operation of the ZAP are paid, such as satellite rental and the purchase of equipment.

The operator makes clear that it does not intend to increase prices, but rather to update them in the face of the depreciation of Kwanza, which is vital for the sustainability of the company. In the meantime, we will continue to await how and when the new Zap services prices will be announced.
