Several French government services are being targeted by computer attacks, which began to occur yesterday and are affecting access to some public platforms.

According to CNN, French government sources indicate that these attacks began today, and at the moment the origin is still unknown. However, authorities state that there are currently no indications that originate in Russia.

The attacks began on Sunday night, but intensified on Monday morning. Authorities say the attack is considered “unprecedented”, affecting multiple infrastructures.

Although French authorities have not yet identified the origin of the attacks, the hacker group Anonymous Sudan has already claimed them, through a message shared on Telegram. The group claims that the attacks targeted the ministries of Culture, Health, Economy and Ecological Transition, in addition to Civil Aviation, the interministerial directorate of digital economy, the National Geographic Institute and the Prime Minister's office.

This group of hackers is also known to have support associated with Russia, particularly with the Moscow government.

At the moment, the sites affected by the attack already appear to be restored to normal, although there are still some platforms where there are sporadic access failures.
