Germany aims to support implementation of the digital economy in Angola

The German government intends to support Angola with its technology in the process of implementing the digital economy, with the aim of increasing the country's productive capacity, said this Wednesday in Luanda, the deputy ambassador of Germany, Marco Mattheis.

The diplomat who spoke on the sidelines of the workshop "Digital Transformation in Angola: 4.0 Industry", organized by the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Sciences - ISPTEC, stressed that the energy sectors such as renewable energy and mobility there are many possibilities for Angola to enjoy Germany.

The deputy ambassador of Germany said that his country will study the possibility of a line of credit. Siemens has several projects with academic institutions, highlighting the development of manuals on renewable energy, a requirement to develop the digitization sector.

Already the director general of ISPTEC, Euclides Luís, said that higher education institutions have a key role to play in the development of technological solutions, through scientific projects, in the training of managers oriented to maximize the implementation and advantages of the 4.0 industry and in helping the Angolan state in structuring its mosaic of technology, reflecting benefits in areas such as agriculture, health, education, energy, industry and cybersecurity.

For its part, the executive director of Siemens, Sérgio Filipe, said that digitization is found in an incipient way, in Angola, in the oil industry, programmers, and can also improve the supply of energy to contribute to the improvement of life for all.
