Angola Cables held the 2ª training edition with Journalists on Internet and ICTs

Last year, Angola Cables formed Journalists on Internet and ICTs. Recently the 2ª edition of this formation was held, that counted on Journalists of several organs of the country.

The opening of this training was carried out by Artur Mendes (Commercial and Marketing Director of Angola Cables), who welcomed the Journalists and made some considerations about the company.

Fábio José - Angola Cables Business Manager

The training was given by two trainers, in which the first part was in charge of the Fábio José which addressed aspects related to telecommunications, infrastructures, submarine cable systems, and the data centers, where information was provided that the Uptime of the Angola Cables data center is 99,99996%.

The second part was in charge Crisóstomo Mbundu, who gave explanations about the IXP and its benefits, in this section journalists have been informed that to date, the IXP of Angola Cables is of 5.2 Gbps, and currently are linked 17 Companies (national and international) in the IXP of Angola Cables.

There was also the special participation of the Carlos Rosado (Director of Jornal Expansão), who addressed open conversation with subjects, issues regarding the “Impact of the infrastructure deficit: how much is spent on alternative sources”.

It was also invited to startup Tupuca, which was represented by Erickson Mvezi (Founder and CEO of Tupuca), in which he gave a presentation of the company, and explained in detail some aspects that involve the Startup in question, where he also assured that soon the deliveries will begin to be made in the Centrality of Kilamba, as well as the vision of the company in betting on other markets in the African continent.

During the training was further advanced that Angola Cables will soon start providing Internet services to African companies, and by all indications, the first country will be the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo, in which the latest technical arrangements are being made .
