Angola will have an Integrated Public Security Management System

Some years ago we learned that National Police would monitor the provinces with, where he even installed cameras on the public road in Luanda with the aim of helping the public security services to uncover crimes and other less correct practices.

It seems that the project worked for some time, and for some unknown reason, we have not heard from it. It seems that the project has returned to the limelight, it has been verified the installation of new equipment in several points of the city of Luanda, replacement of older chambers and it is verified the increase of the capacity.

SAccording to some information, the country will have a Integrated Public Security Management System, to respond in a timely manner to requests from citizens in cases of disorderly changes to public order, disasters and other issues involving security.

This information was advanced by the current Minister of the Interior (Angelo Veiga Tavares), when he was speaking on the occasion of the 38 anniversary of the Ministry of the Interior, also advancing that the construction of more than 70 establishments related to the sector are underway.

The contract for this project is in charge of the Chinese company called “Beijing Global Safety Technology Co Ltd“, Which is a company specialized in the development, production and commercialization of public safety systems and equipment.

How much will it cost to implement this system?

The contract includes the supply of IT applications and represents for the State of Angola a cost of 62,6 million USD, with the execution term being 24 months.
