Submission of the digital certificate for the Covid-19 vaccine takes effect on 01 November

National citizens over 18 years of age must present, from November 1st, the digital certificate of vaccination against Covid-19, to have access to public institutions in the country.

This new measure is contained in the new Presidential Decree on the Situation of Public Calamity, updated this Friday(29), and presented by the Minister of State and Head of the House of Security of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado.

The diploma enters into force today(31).

The measure of presentation of the vaccination certificate is also valid to compete in public tenders for Education, Health and defense forces.

In the event of non-compliance, the persons responsible for the institutions covered will be penalized, in an amount ranging from 100 to 300 kwanzas.

The current document, with five chapters and 47 articles, also highlights the need for a negative pre-shipment test, carried out 72 hours before, in order to access the Angola/Brazil flight, from 1 November.

In the trade chapter, the opening hours are maintained from 7 am to 22 pm, while in public and private, urban and inter-provincial transport the capacity must be 75 percent.

It is advisable to carry out tests due to the long hours of travel and the proximity between passengers.

Access to beaches, swimming pools and spas is still prohibited, and their survey is subject to an assessment of the epidemiological situation in the country.

The entry into the country of citizens coming from the Republic of India, by any means, and for citizens who have transited in that country remains suspended.

Until last Thursday, six million 265 thousand and 712 citizens were vaccinated in the country, with the second dose to be vaccinated four million and 712 citizens across the country.
