google-glass-explorerToday, Google informed the more than two thousand pre-buyers of its Google Glass that the first units of the same have already left the production line and will go to the delivery in stages, that is, as they leave the factory. This first phase comes in a batch called "Explorer Edition" that was prepared and directed primarily to developers. These first customers paid 1.500 dollars for Google Glass.

Google also took advantage of the official specifications of the glasses, among which we highlight:

- The camera capable of taking photos up to 5 MP and videos in HD resolution (720p).

- The screen is of high resolution (HD), equivalent to a 25-inch screen viewed from 2,5m away.

- It has 16 GB of flash memory but only 12 GB of available memory, which can be synchronized with cloud storage.

- The battery is designed to be used for a day, but features that primarily involve the camcorder will consume battery more quickly.

- Charging is ensured by the typical micro USB connection (cable and charger included in the package).

- Connectivity is via Wi-Fi 802.11b / g (there is no Wireless-N) and Bluetooth.

About compatibility, according to Google will be compatible with any smartphone with Bluetooth. But the MyGlass app, which will allow among other functions the use of GPS and the sending of SMS, will only be available for Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or higher.

The app is already available on Google Play and only works with Google Glass.
