"Habemus Victor", or in Portuguese, “We have a winner”.
The first edition of "Imagine Cup 2013 final local Angola" ended yesterday (see here) and was defeated by the students of the Methodist University of Angola (UMA). Held on the university campus of Agostinho Neto University, the event was attended by students from the house, with students from the winning university and also students from Jean Piaget University. Each of them competed with two projects and the winning project was the game "Do not Irrites" for Windows.
It was good to hear from the National Director of Technological Development and Innovation of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (MESCT), Mr. Gabriel Luís Miguel, who stated that in 2014 the “Imagine Cup 2014 final local Angola” contest will be extensive to the subsystem of general education and will have an extension at the national level, the aim being that this event has an annual periodicity. He also said that MESCT intends to hold a competition this year with the theme "Innovate in the Angolan productive system" that will be directed to national and foreign companies that develop their activities in Angola.
