AVP Serviços consolidates its presence in the national market

AVP Serviços, a telecommunications service provider, has invested, in the last three years, more than AKz 50 million for the training of its staff and the acquisition of equipment, a bet that aims to consolidate its presence in the Angolan market, said this Monday the its director general Rui Pires.

Of the amount, AKz 20 million was spent on training employees, 200 workers were fixed, and the more than Akz 30 million was invested in the purchase of equipment, without specifying the type.

Rui Pires, who spoke to Angop about the performance of AVP Serviços in the national market, explained that the company intends to remain in the country for many years, having considered that 2019 was an excellent year, despite not revealing values, due to the fact that it collected 30 % of planned.

On the performance of the company, present in the national market for nine years, he added that 2020 is being a positive year and believes that it will, again, exceed the expected billing objectives.

He clarified that investment in training represents, on average, 20% of the company's annual turnover, which is also dedicated to the purchase of test and measurement equipment, climbing equipment (climbing to mobile phone towers) and various tools .

 

Activities developed by AVP Serviços

The telecommunications service provider was responsible for the installation of the AC / DC power system at the main operators' centers in Angola, as well as for the construction, in partnership with Huawei, of the Unitek STP network, headquarters and store in São Tomé and Príncipe .

It was also dedicated to the installation of the new generation network in the operators Unitel and Movicel, of the communications network supporting the security network of CISP, migration of 750 mobile phone stations in Huawei and Ericsson equipment, among other services.

In Angola since March 2011, AVP Serviços is dedicated to the installation and configuration of radio equipment, construction of a telecommunications station under a key regime, construction of data centers, photovoltaic panel installations, and other services associated with the telecommunications universe in Angola.

In addition to Angola, AVP Services is present in São Tomé and Principe and Portugal, having recently won a tender launched by the World Bank (BM) for the installation of fiber optic cables in Guinea-Bissau.

In the national market, AVP Serviços provides services to Huawei, Ericsson, Unitel, Movicel, Netone, among others.

When assessing the telecommunications sector in the country, Rui Pires stated that the mobile and fixed telephone networks are equipped with the latest equipment, namely Huawei, which has made large investments in the last 10 years and allows greater speeds associated with technological security.

Regarding the performance of the company he runs, he stated that he has contributed to the services developed in more than 300 mobile phone stations nationwide, installing state-of-the-art equipment in the “data centers” of Netone's mobile operators, Unitel, Movicel and Angola Telecom.

The company recently invested in a training center, equipped with a tower, Huawei equipment of the latest generation and intends to expand the training to the general public.

He added that the training actions will be based on climbing techniques, installation of equipment in shelters, aligning microwave antennas, installation of antennas and other services associated with the provision of services by this company.
