The residents of Urbanização 4 de Abril, in the province of Cabinda, are now better served with easier access to the Internet, with the launch, in that housing center, of the Maxnet Fibra service, which are being explored by the telecommunications operator and information Paratus Angola.

According to what was verified, the innovative project allowed the installation of technical and technological conditions with which it makes available a special package of connectivity that includes broadband Internet with speed of 30 mega/bits for all the interested parties, being enough for the purpose to celebrate a service provision contract with the institution, which is working in partnership with the counterpart (UITU).

For the vice-governor for the Political and Social Sector of the province, Miguel de Oliveira, who was present at the launch ceremony of the service, informed that the referred project will contribute a lot in increasing the knowledge of the residents of Urbanização 4 de Abril, as it is dealing with a source of research framed in the new information technologies.

"Today, no one lives in the modern world without access to new technologies, with this service a good number of students residing in Urbanização 4 de Abril now have easy access to the Internet, to better be able to search”, said the Deputy Governor, appealing to the beneficiary community to conserve the aforementioned social equipment placed at their disposal, so that it can last longer and serve more people.

The project was budgeted at US$25 and is connected via fiber optic cable, which departs from Luanda by land, passing through the town of Nóqui, (Mbanza Kongo), crossing DRC, to the southern border of Cabinda. (Yema).
