Applications are open (in English and French) for the 4th edition of the awards competition Africa's Business Heroes (ABH), which annually awards the 10 best entrepreneurs on the African continent, in addition to a subsidy worth US$1,5 million.
The ABH Awards competition, which is one of the main philanthropic programs of the Jack Ma Foundation, has been gaining attention with each passing year as it celebrates African entrepreneurial talent in 54 countries, across all sectors, age groups and gender, and wherever any entrepreneur can present his candidacy, to become one of the 10 finalists of the Top 10.
The official slogan for this year's competition is "It's African Time"(It's Africa time in Portuguese), which is a bold call to action for all talented African entrepreneurs who are challenging stereotypes associated with “African time” – thus creating a local impact and building a better, more inclusive future through their businesses.

According to what was revealed, in this year's grand final, the 10 finalists will take the stage to present their businesses to a panel of business legends, in order to win a share of the purse of 1,5 million dollars.
The journey to the final of the event will also include access to a community of international leaders and innovators, industry experts, investors and accelerators, as well as multidisciplinary boot camps and training sessions to help finalists take their businesses to the next level.
Over the last 10 years, the ABH contest has recognized 100 African entrepreneurs, and for the 2022 edition the contest will revamp the brand identity to better reflect its future. The new logo focuses on the concept of the “Hero”, as they are the ones driving change on the continent.
Online applications will be open until June 6, 2022, with the semi-finalists announced in October and the ten finalists for 2022 revealed in November.
