One of the greatest tools on the internet is without a doubt, Google's search engine.
For years, several “tricks” have been spreading to facilitate the search for almost any topic. But search techniques are evolving, Google has added features such as searching for time, color or image. So, Google is offering a free online course to teach search skills.
Google offered the first course in July, when 155 thousand people signed up and improved their search skills, 40 percent on average, according to pre and post course evaluations.
Entries for the next course started on Tuesday morning and the first class is 24 in September. There are three classes a week, for two weeks, each 50 video minutes plus tests.
Students can watch videos at any time, but if they watch in class time, they can participate in forums with other students and teaching assistants. (People can also watch videos without signing up for the course, but they will not receive a certificate of completion)
