Now with the inauguration of the Administration of the Angolan Data Protection Agency, the processing of personal data is now overseen, although the initial phase will be only pedagogical, with no punishment in sight, according to Maria Pinto.

"If the data was delivered for the purchase of a telephone chip, the telephone company will never be able to use that same data to send advertising materials without the authorization of its owner, which may be violating the customer's right", underlined the PCA.

Maria Pinto admitted that there are misappropriations of personal data in public and private institutions, said her agency will begin to oversee and control data processing in banks, hospitals, clinics and others.
