A Interbank Services Company (EMIS) was awarded as the best "digital company" at the Awards Gala of exhibitors and other entities that provided services to 38th Edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), which took place from the 18th to the 22nd of July, with the presence of the editorial staff of MenosFios.

For this edition of the event, EMIS brought as its main novelty the “Instant Kwik Kwanza”, a “modern payment instrument adapted to the reality of the non-banking world, inclusive and easy to use”, according to the governor of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), Manuel Tiago Dias.

"Access to elementary financial services, starting with instant transfers of funds, is very important not only to promote the formalization of the economy, but also to pave the way for access to microcredit, which is the main objective of a financial inclusion program.”, said the manager at the Kwik launch.

The Governor also said that the BNA is considering applying an extended moratorium on interoperability costs with the Kwik arrangement for all participating service providers.

He also explained that, for an instrument of this nature to be truly inclusive, it is essential that it has a single brand widely known by the public and accepted by the majority of payment service providers, as is the case today with cards, namely the cards of the multicaixa brand.

Kwik comes to bring non-banking operators to the payments market with a view to providing solutions for the unbanked population, allowing the financial inclusion of the unbanked population, and after launch, it will be readily available on various mobile payment channels, such as Unitel Money.

Among its various features, KWIK allows you to send and receive money, that is, you can use the platform to receive or send money instantly from friends, family or acquaintances, without having to carry cash in your pocket.

KWIK also allows the payment or receipt of the most diverse types of purchases and services, such as taxis, zungueiras, motoboys or other day-to-day expenses, or even to pay taxes, invoices, water, energy or telecommunications bills, among many other possibilities.

According to what was revealed, to have access to KWIK, you just need to have a smartphone or a simple cell phone with keys to be able to use the platform. You can send kwanzas instantly by indicating your mobile phone number, email, nicKname or IBAN, regardless of the bank or mobile wallet used by the recipient.
