Forum distinguishes the contribution of Angolan women in national technology

Last week, the forum called “Women and Young Women in Science in Angola” took place at the Luanda Bay tent, and aimed at promoting the sharing of experiences, networking between women in science, as well as praising the contribution of Angolan women in building of scientific knowledge.

Held within the scope of the March for Women and the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, an event that is celebrated on February 11, it featured lectures, testimonies, a round table and an exhibition of scientific projects developed by women.

With the seal of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI), the event was honored with the presence of the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, who opened the event, highlighting the role of Angolan women in social development , economic and political in the country.

Also present were several officials from Ministerial Departments of the Government of Angola, Academics and Researchers, with emphasis on the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Maria do Rosário Bragança, the Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo and the Governor of Luanda , Manuel Man.
