No 18th Huawei Global Analyst Summit held in Shenzhen from April 12th to 14th, Huawei announced the latest innovations and developments in its intelligent cloud networking solution.

At this annual event, Steven Zhao, Vice President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, delivered a speech titled “Go Digital Faster with Smart Grid in the Cloud”. In the speech, Zhao shared how the Intelligent Cloud-Network solution accelerates digital transformation across all sectors in four key scenarios: cloud campus network, cloud WAN, hyper-converged data center network and cyber security.

Moving to the cloud is the main path to digital transformation. According to IDC statistics, 80% of companies will accelerate their cloudification by the end of 2021, and access to multiple clouds – including public, private and hybrid clouds – will be an important choice for companies looking to move to the cloud.

Today's businesses tend to migrate their office services to public clouds. However, as the digital transformation intensifies, it is inevitable that companies will migrate their production services to the cloud as well.

Mr. Zhao said: “The cloud network is the foundation for corporate migration to the cloud. By providing nearly unlimited intelligence and computing power, the cloud network enables all sectors to reach new heights of productivity, unlock the potential of data elements and ignite the vitality of the digital economy. ”

Today, cloud technologies evolve at a much faster pace than networks, which act as a bottleneck to effectively using the cloud. In this context, four challenges are faced by cloud networking: fast cloud but slow network, difficult experience assurance, challenging network O&M, and difficult security protection.

To meet these challenges, Huawei follows the “digital, smart and service-oriented” philosophy and further innovates its end-to-end intelligent cloud networking solution. This underscores Huawei's efforts to power intelligence with data and enable companies to better deploy and use clouds.

  • CloudCampus 3.0, provides great cloud access experience

By enabling an all-wireless network, CloudCampus 3.0 enables seamless connections on campus anywhere. It also uses SD-WAN to create a global network, thus realizing agile global interconnection and cloud network matching.

  • CloudWAN 3.0, provides agile and high-quality network connections between companies and clouds

Built on hierarchical network division, CloudWAN 3.0 effectively isolates different enterprise services while providing on-demand network SLAs to ensure service performance.

With the smart cloud map algorithm, CloudWAN 3.0 can flexibly select different cloud access paths according to services, effectively improving the efficiency of cloud access. Its innovative cloud network security synergy feature ensures robust security across the entire network, with a threat detection rate of over 96%.

  • CloudFabric 3.0, builds a hyper-converged data center network to enable lossless, converged network connectivity to cloud data centers

This future-proof solution truly achieves lossless Ethernet. According to statistics, a packet loss rate of just 0,1% will reduce computing power by 50%, but simply adding servers may not always satisfy service needs.

  • HiSec, provides end-to-end security protection for the corporate cloud

Cloudification greatly expands the traditional boundaries of the enterprise, putting enormous pressure on conventional single-point protection. Huawei's HiSec solution overcomes this by providing end-to-end security protection – from cloud access to cloud connections and even intra-cloud networks – through comprehensive collaboration across clouds, networks, security and devices.

Looking ahead, Huawei will work with more customers and partners to engage deeply in multiple sectors – from digital government to smart cities and from industrial automation to remote smart health – thus injecting new impetus for digital transformation across all sectors.
