Today it was officially announced, Instagram has about 300 million users monthly. We must remember that 9 months ago Instagram had announced that it had reached 200 million users per month.

- 70 millions of new photos are shared every day
- 800 average new photos per second.
These numbers thus surpass those released by Twitter just over a month ago, reporting that it had 284 million active users.

Instagram plans to launch the feature of verified accounts for “famous” people and companies, thus making sure that the profile is true, as it is on Facebook and Twitter. In this way Instagram will be able to increase the reliability of the service. Another step that Instagram will take is to intensify the search for fake profiles and spammers.
