ITEL and National Police sign cooperation protocol in the field of technical and professional training

The Telecommunications and Information Technologies Department of the Angolan National Police (DTTI), through its director, Commissioner José Agostinho Paulo, and the Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), through its director Engº. Cláudio Gonçalves, signed on September 30, at ITEL, in Luanda, a cooperation protocol with the Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), which provides for training and raising the quality of technicians in the areas of telecommunications and information technologies.
The responsible for information and telecommunications technologies of the PNA, Commissioner José Agostinho Paulo explained that the cooperation agreement between the PNA and the ITEL, will contribute to the dynamization of the development process of the Police bodies, in the domain of ICT's, as well as in strengthening the prevention and fight against crime.
"It is necessary the emergence and growth of new information and communication technologies in the PNA, in order to develop new ways to support the fight against crime“, reinforced the Director of DTTI.
In turn, the director of the Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), Cláudio Gonçalves, praised the National Police's initiative, having guaranteed international certification for training from Cisco and Huawei.
It should be noted that, after the moment of signing the cooperation protocol, the director of DTTI of the PNA, flanked by the members of the Advisory Board of his body, carried out a guided tour of observation to the aforementioned educational institution, where they were able to learn more about the installations.
