Another episode of the battle between Apple and Samsung had its outcome in the USA. This time the two companies were sentenced by a federal court that ruled that some Samsung products infringed two Apple software patents.
As a punishment, Samsung will have to pay 119,6 million USD for damages caused by the exploitation of intellectual property. Still, this decision should be a cause for celebration at the headquarters of the South Korean company, as Apple had filed for damages of 2,2 billion USD.
As if that were not enough, Samsung still got the court to give a favorable ruling in the case of a patent, forcing Apple to pay 158,4 one thousand USD.
A defeat-flavored win for Apple, who expected a convincing victory in court.
