Mercedes presented its first fully electric car

The future of automobiles is certainly around electric cars and autonomous cars, and Mercedes seems to be following the footsteps of the future, so it decided to present the production-ready version of its first fully electric car.

Mercedes-Benz EQC, an all-wheel-drive electric SUV.Officially announced on September 5 at an event in Sweden, the new EQC (technically called EQC 400 4MATIC) comes two years after its original concept was released in the Paris Salon and will begin shipping in the US on 2020.

Features

The EQC itself will go from 0 to 100 km / h in 4,9 seconds and will have an electronically limited maximum speed of 112 km / h, with 402 horses coming from two electric motors on the axles. Other standard features include the new Mercedes-Benz MBUX user interface and infotainment system displayed on two 10,25 digital monitors, as well as heated seats, 19 inch wheels, pink gold accents and adaptive headlamps.

Price

Mercedes did not announce the price, although it said production would begin at 2019 in Germany and expand to China and possibly to the company's US plant in Alabama.
