It seems that this week we will start to receive a new update for the Facebook application installed on our Smartphones, whether they have the Android or iOS system. This update that promises to make your application faster, will make especially happy the emerging countries of Africa that currently has the slowest Internet connections like Angola.

This update could bring two major improvements:

  1. The first concerns comments: after this update is made, users will be able to start leaving their comments in their friends' posts or pages even when the Internet is “faulty”, when the Internet is restored, Facebook will automatically make it your comment visible or published (which is not currently the case).
  2. The second concerns the News Feed: Facebook usually already downloads some publications to your smartphone so that the user can see even when he is without Internet. With this update, publications that the user has not yet viewed will be presented whenever their Internet is not good enough to see new publications.

According to (Facebook Global Product Manager) Chris Marra, making navigation faster is one of Facebook's main concerns, so this new update is especially focused on countries like Angola, where the offer of carrier data is not always reliable.

It should also be noted that users do not have to worry about the use of RAM or internal storage space. The update will only change the way Facebook handles files that are already available on your smartphone, without having to download any extras or perform more of the heavy lifting.

It is quite remarkable Facebook's effort to expand the Internet worldwide, especially to emerging countries, Angola is a good example, with access to the project internet.org  with which users from Cabinda to Cunene have free access to this social network.
