The National Police urged Angolan society not to expose children in social networks, highlighting that often this behavior called Share Things can directly affect children's emotions.

According to National Police spokesperson Nestor Goubel, speaking in the context of the case of the 14-year-old minor, shown in a video displaying and handling a firearm, overexposure on social media can be harmful for several reasons. Among the risks involves the misuse of third party personal data and security, such as: Fraud, Putting security at risk, Cyberbullying, Use of content for sexual purposes.

Regarding the case that broke out on social media, the spokesperson says that “The situation of the minor, being unaccountable, does not result in detention, but rather requires parental responsibility for the firearm".

In reaction to the video seen by several people, the minor's father stated that he was surprised to learn of the material, and said he was available to collaborate with the National Police to clarify the facts.

The father was equally dissatisfied with the situation, having stated that someone acted in bad faith by releasing the video on social media, as it had been recorded on August 19th of this year, close to home, in an authentic joke between the target, siblings and friends.

The pistol, he said, was under the seat of a car he used. “At the time of the incident, I was away from home and left my car keys at home. The boy took out his keys and went to play in the car, recording the video in a playful gesture".

As he is a minor, the father disapproves of the attitude of some people who spread the images and asked society to prevent the video and other images of the boy from being shared on social media.
