The problem of internet access in Angola may compromise the effective implementation of the Confederação Africana de Futebol (CAF) new online club licensing platform.

This information was revealed by the president of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Artur Almeida e Silva, speaking at the workshop about the platform, emphasizing knowing the conditions that each African country has and Angola does not escape the challenges related to the internet, a reality that needs accept and live with it.

"The internet challenge is national, in all provinces there are access difficulties. It is something we have to live with, try to resolve the situation in the near future, because it is not possible to hold international games without internet access.”, said the representative of the body that governs national football.

Still in this context, the governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi, showed awareness and argued that some provinces already have a level of progression in internet services, believing that the situation will improve in the near future.

The person responsible for Professional Football at CAF, Muhammad Sidat, reiterated that the platform only needs a minimum internet connection to the network to function.

He recalled that for African competitions, the platform goes into operation at the beginning of June, and runs until the day when the federations will be notified for their clubs to start the process of submitting all the information and documentation in the system to have the their approved licenses for the season coming up in a few months.

"For national competitions it will depend on whatever the sports calendar of each of the federations is, some are running and end in December, others that start in July to June may already implement”, Finished.
