FIFA announced yesterday that it will officially use the technology in the line of the goal in the Confederations Cup in June of this year and in the world of 2014 in Brazil.

This technology, which was used in December last year at the Club World Cup, has the main objective of assisting the work of referees and FIFA intends it to be installed in all stadiums and to be tested before the world cup starts. For that, and knowing the diversity of options and technologies in the market, Joseph Blatter stated: “With different technologies in the market, FIFA has launched a contest so that the requirements for the next two competitions in Brazil are fulfilled".

It is already known that the Hawkeye and GoalRef systems already have the FIFA license, now other companies are trying to obtain it. The Hawkeye (Hawk Eye in Portuguese), owned by Sony, is now a technology widely used in other sports such as tennis and cricket, now GoalRef which uses magnetic sensors in the goal posts to follow the ball, used in rugby, it's from the Danish Select. Both systems inform the referee whether the ball has crossed the goal line or not and send the information to one of his watches.

Will we also implement this in Girabola? Is there a need? Do we have so many controversial cases?
