Threads will gain three new features

A leak of information shared by the Business Insider website indicates which features are on the way to Meta's new social network, the Threads. Despite being three good additions to the platform, there is one more feature to be released that will certainly not be to the liking of users.

Reportedly, Meta plans to integrate the ability to send direct messages as already happens on Facebook, Instagram and even Twitter. Elon Musk's social network will also serve as inspiration for another novelty, namely a list of main topics and trends of the social network. Finally, the third feature will be an improved ability to conduct research of publications on the social network.

BUT: Twitter is blocking links to rival Threads

This is good news for Threads users and even for those who intend to adopt the platform in the future. Unfortunately, it seems that not everything is rosy and that – like Twitter – the Meta also intend to add views limits.

Who says so is the leader of the Instagram, Adam Mosseri, in a post shared on Threads. “Spam attacks have increased, so we're going to have to implement view limits”, notes the executive, indicating that the measure intends to combat the number of false accounts.

It is not yet known how this implementation will be, but it is possible that, if done well, it will not have too much of an impact on the experience of Threads users.
