The legion of tablets ...

We are in the era of mobile devices. Smartphones and tablets are the consumers' favorite, only companies continue to support the traditional PC market.

But in the second quarter of 2014, the growth trend fell compared to the first quarter of the year (one percentage of 1,5%). According to company responsible for the study, IDC, this drop can be attributed to the slow adoption of tablets in the corporate environment. Another factor that influenced this statistic was the sales of iPads, which fell 9% in the second quarter, compared to the first quarter.

The forecast is that the tablet market will recover at a good pace, driven by the agreement between Apple and IBM, for the sale of iPhones and iPads to large companies.

Android in high

Good news for companies that bet on Android: Lenovo sold 64,7% more units than in the second quarter of 2013. Asus, 13% more and other small Android manufacturers achieved 33,4% higher sales.

Who runs the list of companies that sell the most tablets?
  • 1º Location: Apple with 33%
  • 2nd Place: Samsung with 18,8%
  • 3rd place: Asus with 4,5%),
  • 4th Place: Acer with 3,4%
  • 5 Place: Lenovo with 3,3%

By all accounts, tablets will continue to rise, as from 2013 to 2014 the tablet market growth was 11%.
