O WhatsApp has just launched a new feature in its messaging app – View Once – which allows you to send photos and videos that can be seen only once, which then disappear afterwards without a trace.
The functionality is similar to what was already offered by Snapchat, as well as by Messenger and Instagram. Whether in an individual conversation or in a group, the user can select the icon that appears in the text input field to send a photo/video of a single view.
This novelty now revealed had been tested for a few weeks in the beta versions of WhatsApp. Want to give users the ability to manage with their photos and videos are shared with other contacts.
Please note that these photos and videos cannot be previewed in the app and are also not downloaded to the mobile device. But WhatsApp has very specific rules for accessing single view photos and videos. Warns that these can be captured or saved from the screen with the media files open before disappearing.
The application also launched a feature that allows you to permanently archive conversations, which helps those who don't want to receive notifications from some contacts and groups. Until then, archived conversations returned to the WhatsApp home screen whenever a new message was sent.
