O WhatsApp is apparently working on a way for users to upload photos in better quality, with the WABetaInfo site indicating that the app will allow them to choose between three options.
The app will let users choose the quality of videos before uploading. It is a tool that will really make a difference in the daily lives of those who send a lot of these materials through WhatsApp.
According to the information available so far, WhatsApp will have the options “Auto”, “Best quality” and “Data saver” to send photos. While “Best quality” refers to the best possible quality and “Data saver” to a compressed image, “Auto” will alternate between the two according to the Wi-Fi connection you have when sending a photo.
As with video options, users can choose by:
- Better quality: does not focus on compression and files may take longer to upload;
- Data saving: compress the video a lot to save the internet allowance;
- Automatic (recommended): sends with higher or lower quality depending on your connection.
In the "Storage and data" menu of the application, the user will be able to determine the sending preference among three options:
