It was recently announced that WhatsApp already has 1 billion active users per day, either by sharing photos and videos, by connecting via video call, or by keeping friends inside everything that happens.
Since WhatsApp has had a lot of adherence worldwide, the social network is exploring ways for users to communicate with companies that are important to them.
How will users know that the account really belongs to a company?
The accounts of WhatsApp's corporate messaging users will now display a green icon (as shown in the image below) next to the contact's name. Seeing this means that WhatsApp has confirmed that this contact's phone number belongs to a company account.
O WhatsApp will also inform users when they communicate with a company through a yellow message within a conversation. NYou can not delete these messages from the conversation.
If the user already has the phone number of a company saved in your contact list, the name you saved is the name you'll see saved in your contact list. If the user does not have the phone number of a company saved in their contact list, the name they see is the name the company chose.
