Acelera Angola and IFC launch program to accelerate startup growth

With the aim of helping startups in Angola that have already validated their solutions in the market to accelerate their growth, Acelera Angola and International Finance Corporation (IFC) launch the Growth Lab program, this Wednesday, April 26.

According to the statement sent to MenosFios, the Gwoth Lab will create a significant impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country, and in addition to the IFC, it will have the National Bank of Angola (BNA) as its official promoter.

The incubator program will also have partners PI Advisory, EMSA, Bisc8, Produtos Incríveis, Aline Simões and PMI, who will contribute with their experience to offer all kinds of innovative knowledge to the program.

To inform that Gwoth Lab is the incubator program of the partnership between Acelera Angola IFC, who together signed several memorandums to support the growth of the Angolan ecosystem of entrepreneurs.

The partnership will allow IFC to help Accelerates Angola to expand, support innovative technology startups, as well as drive inclusive economic growth in the country. This agreement will also allow IFC to work with startups that attend Acelera's incubation and acceleration programs, mainly those in the digital technology, financial services, agrotech, mobility and logistics sectors, helping them to access markets and attract investment.

Not forgetting that this initiative is part of the Angolan government's Financial Sector Development strategy (2017 – 2023), which aims to use digital financial services and fintech solutions to boost financial inclusion, and the Country Diagnosis of the Private Sector (CPSD ) by the World Bank Group that identifies entrepreneurship as a priority to create jobs and boost private investment in Angola.
