A Accelerates Angola, a platform that provides the tools needed to help leverage business ideas or established companies, has entered into a partnership agreement with Loftyinc Capital Management – venture capital investment company active in Africa – to raise between US$2,5 million and US$5 million to finance the best technology companies being set up in Angola and neighboring countries.

According to the press release sent to the editorial office of MenosFios, the agreement signed last month also includes the participation of Orenda, an investment company, and where Loftyinc Capital Management hopes that this partnership represents another important step in the group's strategy, “which involves investing in African start-ups that solve problems in Africa”, said Kevin Simmons, managing partner of the company, adding that “Investing in Africa is investing in the future of humanity".

"Another major focus of the group, he said, will be to help build the Angolan technological ecosystem so that start-ups born in Angola become, in the coming years, “unicorns of the continent and the world”, stressed Simmons.

This memorandum signed with Acelera Angola, which is also an acceleration and innovation company, created to accelerate the entrepreneurship and digitalization ecosystem in Africa, will also make it possible to identify, form and finance companies of young Angolans with high growth potential, said Kevin Simmons.

On the other hand, the managing partner of Acelera Angola, José Carlos Santos, informed that the partnership will allow his company to identify Angolan companies in the start-up phase that are ready for financing and, thus, to be presented to the joint partnership between Loftyinc Capital Management and Orenda, for subsequent steps.

It should also be informed that this agreement creates the initiative Ignition Ventures, joined by Eduardo Sette Camara, one of Orenda's managing partners, who has worked with start-ups in the country since 2019, and which co-manages two other Angolan investment groups in Europe.

"Start-ups with high growth potential can find here a great partner for the growth and success of their business”, highlighted Eduardo Camara.

LoftyInc Capital Management invests in more than 170 companies – in sectors such as financial technology, transport, healthcare, education, e-commerce, among others – and is considered the leading company in venture capital investment on the African continent.
