Amazon Launches Virtual Acceleration Program for Startups in Africa

Amazon Web Services has released the AWS Startup Loft Accelerator, a 10-week, equity-free virtual acceleration program for early-stage startups in countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Attendees will have personalized personal training with access to experienced consultants, subject matter experts, investors and some of the world's most successful entrepreneurs who have built their businesses on AWS. They can also join a large community of entrepreneurs to share knowledge, experience and advice.

They will be eligible to join the AWS Activate program, which includes up to $25.000 in Activate credits to spend on AWS services, a free one-year AWS Business Support subscription of up to $5.000, access to pre-built infrastructure templates, and offers Exclusive to members only.

Registration will open in November 2021 for all European Union, UK and Israel startups looking to build and scale their products on AWS. The first group of 25 startups will start in early 2022.

AWS business and technical experts will work closely with startups. This includes AWS Solution Architects who will help startups accelerate the design and development of a minimal viable product.

The AWS Startup Loft Accelerator assumes no equity in participating startups, has a flexible weekly commitment, supports startups from both a technical and business perspective, and because the program is virtual, founders don't have to worry about the relocation cost .
