Stars DSVT Eutelsat 2013

Education is everything. THE Multichoice and their partners realized this, so they launched the contest “Stars DSTV Eutelsat”, aimed at secondary school students.

For those who thought the initiative would end in 2012, you may be disappointed because MultiChoice Africa and Eutelsat Communications announce the return of 2013 Eutelsat DStv Star Awards. According to the description: the awards aim to inspire innovative thinking among secondary and high school students, raise awareness of how science and technology can be applied in our day-to-day life and show the many ways in which satellites influence the development of African continent.

Students aged between 14 and the 19 years, will write or create a poster, illustrating how the innovative use of satellite technology can boost the development of their communities, their country or Africa. The winners of Angola will face the other winners around Africa ...

What will be the prizes for the winners?

The winners of the best writing and the best poster will win a unique trip to visit the facilities of Eutelsat in Paris. The winner of the best writing will continue the trip to watch live the launch of a rocket. The runners-up will win a trip to South Africa as guests of MultiChoice Africa.

The schools attended by the first and second national and continental class will also be awarded a DStv installation, which includes satellite TV, a decoder and free subscription for one year in the DStv educational package.

How to apply?

Students can register by filling in the registration forms found available in their schools and in all MultiChoice stores or by downloading from the website www.dstvstarawards.com. The closing date for entries is 19 September 2013.
