After Cape Monet having already arrived in Brazil, the information now appears that the fiber optic cable from Angola / Ámerica is already 46% completed. This percentage of completion, includes its installation with the completion of the preliminary study of survey and inspection on the route to be done by BAGS, which ended in Luanda on February 11.

According to information provided by Angola Cables, the study of cable travel is one of the most important steps in producing information that defines the route and type of cable coating, thus reducing the risk of cable breakage in the interaction with the rocks in the cable. sea. It is important to note that this study was carried out by a specialized vessel, lasted more than a month and a half and required the participation of some 50 technicians on board the vessel, which is currently moored at the Sonils, in Luanda.

Extending by more than six thousand and 200 kilometers of network in the South Atlantic, the BAGS will connect Luanda to the Brazilian city of Fortaleza, connecting the African continent directly to Latin America for the first time, making it possible for international high-speed and high-speed data transmissions between these two
points of the globe.

It is also worth remembering that the SACS cable will be connected with the cable system Monet, which goes to Miami, Florida, making it possible for Angola and Africa to be connected directly to the United States of America. The two systems are being developed by Angola Cables and are budgeted at 300 million US dollars.
