On November 5 2013 we had the dissemination of results of the prizes “DSTV 2013 star“, A partnership between Multichoice and Eutelsat with the aim of encouraging young students to develop topics related to technology, specifically in the area of Telecommunications.
Work would be awarded in two areas: wording e poster that best showed the ways in which satellites influence the development of the African continent
The winners were:
- Sheila Geraldo. 123 College in Huila, in the Writing category;
- Felipe Emílio. Polytechnic Institute of Sambizanga, in the Poster category.
The works of our brave boys were then sent to the continental contest, where they had the “opposition” of more 18 countries, totaling an impressive number of 1.000 works evaluated.
Victory smiled at the Francine Mazala, from Zambia, who prepared the best essay. As a prize, she will be entitled to a trip to Paris and the opportunity to attend, later, the launching a rocket into space. In the category of posters, the winner was Lloyd OsseiBaffour, do Ghana, who may also visit Eutelsat's premises in Paris.
A Angolan representative was 13X, in a year in which Angola beat the record of registrations, with 203 works.
We are not tired of saying that this is a Multichoice and we hope that in 2014 more work will appear and maybe we can (Angola) take the title of “DStv Eutelsat Star Awards 2014 ″.
