According to National Development Program (PND) 2013/2017 the Angolan Executive intends to encourage the creation of “Clubs” and “Associations of Young Scientists and Innovators” with the aim of stimulating innovation and research and development activities in the business sector. In addition to these and as an incentive, the Executive intends to create the “Contract-Program for Innovation” which will have venture capital behind it and will be used to finance and create business incubators.
Another objective of the SNE for the same period is to select Angolan cadres with the potential to win scholarships for university institutions abroad that are leaders in scientific and technological knowledge. On the other hand, attracting Angolan staff linked to the areas mentioned to return to Angola is also part of the objectives.
The executive also intends to create the National Prize for Science and Innovation, create a system of incentives and subsidies for research and research, individual and group. These projects show a great commitment on the part of the Angolan government to foster the areas of science and technology at national level, and this is excellent news for young students and entrepreneurs in the areas of technology.
This is good news for Most Startups and small technology companies that have been developing in recent times. Now, we are waiting for the practical part of this development plan.
