[Angola] Get ready, new mobile and fixed telephony operators on the way ...

Telephone tower Angola

The news couldn't be more exciting: “Angola to grant new licenses for the operation of mobile and fixed telephone networks“, Words of the Minister of Commerce, Rosa Pacavira. The first thing that customers of current companies should be asking is whether the price of communications in Angola is going to fall. Unfortunately no one will be able to answer that for now ...

But what can be said / predicted is that some of the most successful companies in Africa (and not only) should be rubbing their hands of anxiety to enter a market as competitive as Angola.

What can we gain from the emergence of new businesses?

Do not even think about the prices, but think about the quality of service. Think about the new applications and services that companies that exist the longest in the industry can bring. This is easy to say because companies will have a chance to see the mistakes of current companies. (It even seems easy, does not it?)

While some are talking about Vodafone, NTD, among other giant companies in Africa, I still imagine that the priority will be given to Angolan companies that work in this field (technology) and have not yet had the chance to explore the market.

For now, that's all we can do, wait to see who will come, what it will do to improve communications in Angola. The companies that now operate have done (and do) their part, but maybe it's time to call for reinforcements. End-users thank.

  1. I think it is good, that new operators are being implemented in the country, as this increases the offer. the question of price, competition itself will dictate. with several operators operating in angola, the offer will be very comprehensive and companies will look for commercial mechanisms to captivate consumers. I hope that these operators are introduced as soon as possible to stop thinking about the usual ones.
