In February of the current year, the submarine cable SACS finally arrived in Brazil, before that, in October of 2017 the same cable was already in the Angolan part, thus placing the country at the center of communications in Africa.

Surely many Angolans have been waiting for the benefits that the SACS will bring, and is apparently closer to happening, since it was given the guarantee that it will be functional in Angola from August.

Internet services resulting from the fiber optic cable connecting Angola and Brazil will be available in the Angolan market starting next August. This guarantee was advanced by Artur Mendes (Commercial and Marketing Director of Angola Cables), stressing that once the cable connection process is completed, there will be a faster use of existing Internet services in the country.

O responsible believes that more than 50% of Angolan users will be able to feel the benefits of improving Internet services in the country. He also affirmed that, the connection of the fiber optic cable between Africa and South America will allow a faster connection, because previously the connection was made Europe / United States of America / Brazil.

The submarine cable (SACS), consisting of 72 repeaters, predicts to have a capacity of 40 terabits / second, 10 terabits / each pair of fiber and will improve the connecting function of the connection between Angola and Brazil.
