[Angola] Users are unable to access “Facebook zero” with Opera Mini

Facebook Logo ZeroIn recent days it has been noted that one of the most popular applications in Angola is Opera Mini.

First for its compatibility with a wide range of mobile phones. Then for its speed when opening the pages and finally for compressing the data, saving our daily balance.

One of the most suitable tasks for Opera Mini is to access the “Facebook Zero“. Yes, many teenagers spend the day connected to Facebook thanks to the free access provided by both Unitel and Movicel. Yes the Facebook Zero works with both carriers.

Two days ago many users used their own Facebook to complain that they were unable to access “0.facebook.com”Using Opera Mini. Of course the MenosFios team went to verify this complaint of the countless desperate youths (Okay, very dramatic.).

The images below can confirm that if we access “0.facebook.com” with Opera Mini, we will have no answer. We thought it might be a network problem and we tested the network on Opera Mini (with an option provided by it) and everything was fine. Then we tried to access the mobile version of Facebook using Opera Mini, that is, we entered “m.facebook.com”, without success! We opened other sites to check if everything was in order and yes, here is the result.

Solution: we tried it in other browsers, both on the mobile phone and on the desktop and that's it, Facebook Zero worked for both Movicel and Unitel, using the native browser and the Google Chrome para Android.

So, dear young people desperate to see Facebook notifications, install another browser. Our advice: Google Chrome (or use the standard browser of your mobile phones)

Several complaints can be found at official page of Unitel and there is even an official page just to complain about Opera Mini (which has more than 3 thousand followers, in 3 days). But this time the companies seem to be innocent.

Update - 20:00 pm (March 23):

O service is reestablished, “Facebook Zero” can be accessed by Opera Mini. It remains to be seen if there was a problem with the servers of "Opera" (the company)?
