O pre-acceleration program “Beta - Start”, Created by beta-i in partnership with Accelerates Angola, financed by BAI and Total, supported the development of seven startups of the Angolan market, following a selection process adhered to by 50 competitors, whose finalists will be known on January 31, during an event at Academia BAI.
Divided into five phases, the program, which began in September last year, plans to promote training actions for those responsible for startups selected, aiming at their sustainable growth and development in the Angolan ecosystem.
Out of a total of 50 validated competitors, 10 made it to the finals, where only 7 startups, mentored by mentors with over 10 years of experience. The monitoring included the validation of the business model and product development. Such monitoring was done with face-to-face mentoring and online.
Subsequently, the solutions presented by the startups Finalists will be taken advantage of by the promoters of the “Beta - Start” program, who will include them in the range of offers they have for their customers or leverage them for the market. With this initiative, BAI intends to develop the Angolan entrepreneurial ecosystem
