More than 2000 km of fiber optic cables were vandalized on Monday night, outside of Sassa Povoação / Vila de Caxito, in the province of Bengo, by strangers, according to the provincial director of Angola Telecom, Ledna de Oliveira.

What other provinces were affected by this cut?

"When fiber optic cable is cut in Bengo, Angola Telecom's signal loss also affects the provinces of Uige, Malanje and Zaire."

According to Ledna de Oliveira, the information obtained is that some young people go up to the poles and pull the copper off the cables to sell to the Malians.
