The Wall Street Journal is advancing with the news that the company responsible for the TikTok, ByteDance, has already started negotiations with some of the biggest record companies to turn the app into a music streaming service.

One of the great distinguishing factors of TikTok in relation to other short video apps has always been the integration of music, with this element having also contributed to making the application a benchmark when it comes to music trends.

Now, TikTok hopes to take advantage of this status to offer a service capable of rivaling the Spotify - until now the undisputed leader of this market.
