The Conecta Angola service has already made internet available in several municipalities in the country, with emphasis on the municipalities of Belo Horizonte, the municipality of Cunhinga, Bié province, in June, and Canzar (Cambulo, Lunda Norte), on the 9th of this month, with plans to be expanded to all provinces of Angola, with emphasis on Lunda Sul, Moxico and Cuando Cubango, in the coming months.

This platform, part of the National Space Program, was created with the aim of expanding telecommunications services in areas still considered gray or without internet.

With this, Conecta Angola allows the internet to be made available to citizens, in general, as well as contributing to the implementation of the digitalization process of public administration in the country, according to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira.

Among other features, this tool can also support the civil construction sector, for example, by facilitating interaction between the contractor or specialist in charge of the work with other participants in a given project, sending data in real time, regardless of the location where you are.

""It is a project that came to ensure the interconnection of all Angolans to the most remote part of the country, which is part of our mission. We have difficulties with the traditional method. And building infrastructure takes time even if we have all the conditions to do it. With the resources of Angosat 2, we can make this easier, therefore, we understand that this partnership between GGPEN, Angola Telecom and Infrasat will accelerate the connection of all Angolans”, said Adilson Santos, PCA at Angola Telecom, at the launch of the service.
