Meet the 5 Startups who will represent Angola at the Web Summit 2019

The Web Summit event has become one of the biggest technology events, innovation and entrepreneurship in the world. THE WebSummit It has brought to Lisbon a large number of people who want to exhibit their products, learn about new technologies and interact with specialists.

Angola has been present in recent years and this time, 5 startups will be present

1 - Appy Health

Appy Saúde, known in Angola for its innovation in online appointment scheduling, pharmaceutical ordering and booking, and health insurance memberships through the mobile app, decides to expand internationally and participates in Summit 2019 Web to find potential suppliers , partners, customers and investors.

 

 

2 - Jobartis

Jobartis, Angola's main job portal. Born in 2013 with the need to create a useful job tool for companies and applicants. In September of 2019 the company revealed that over 80 thousand people got a job using the platform. Its database has more than 700 thousand professionals. Expanding to other countries like Ivory Coast, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Mozambique, Portugal and Spain, Jobartis has a thousand and one reasons to attend the Web Summit.

3 - Kubinga

Kubinga, the startup that promises to solve mobility problems in Angola, is in a phase of national recognition and growth. 2018 won the national edition of Seedstars for Angola (winning the Seedstars global final ticket in Switzerland) and 2019 won the 4ª edition of Unitel Apps, a competition that guaranteed Kubinga's presence at Summit 2019 Web.

 

4 - Roque Online

Another startup that beat Seedstars Luanda, in this case, the edition of 2019. In the e-Commerce category, Roque Online service connects informal markets in Angola, providing tools for suppliers and service providers in informal markets, enabling them to function as a micro enterprise.

5 - Sheshe

Facing e-Commerce, the Sheshe sells fashion and beauty items from African brands, thus harnessing the potential of African fashion and culture

 

 

 

The Web Summit is held in Lisbon between 04 and 07 November.

The number of startups in attendance from 92 countries is impressive: 2.150 startups, to be exact. 41 startups in Africa and, as mentioned above, 5 startups Angola.
