O Eutelsat TV Awards is an annual competition that sheds light on what makes today's television great, rewarding broadcasters for their exceptional creativity, innovation, and public involvement. Already in its 19ª edition, finally the winners were announced, this after some time the table of the jury have analyzed each category, to the liking of the Angolans to Zap Viva managed to snatch the prize in the category of “Fiction / Horror"
All participating channels were evaluated by an independent jury of journalists, programmers and media commentators from around the world. Chaired by Duilio Giammaria of RAI, this year's jury included Russian Dmitry Dibrov, the Man of the "Who wants to Be a Millionaire?" in Russia. So this year the jury chose among a diverse range of 120 channels from 37 countries where Angola turned out to be. The winners were announced at a ceremony in Milan, Italy, with the participation of more than 350 executives from the broadcasting industry from around the world.

It is also worth noting that in addition to the nine jury prizes and the "Choice of Audience" which was first won by an African channel (2STV from Senegal), Eutelsat awarded a special prize to the Russian channel Tricolor for its comprehensive multiplatform strategy, adding new HD content, launching the first Russian Ultra HD channel, the development of non-linear services, as well as greater broadband access beyond the terrestrial band.
