After the Galaxy mini comes the Grand

"Samsung now has a new member in the family ... the Grand."

Plagiarizing the publicity of Unitel, the new 94 member, I introduce you the new Samsung Galaxy, now with 5 inches. But please do not use the same analogy as when the Galaxy reduced in size. In the transition to the Mini Samsung used some cheaper components than in the SIII, so in this case when increasing in size the same analogy was not used. Quite the contrary, also decreased the quality of the components shown that the crown jewel your Ferrari continues to be the Galaxy S III.

The specifications in direct comparison with S III:

- Processor: Dual-core 1.2GHz (against quad core 1.4GHz)
- Inches: 5 inches (against 4.8 inches)
- Resolution: 800 × 480 (against 720x1280px)
- Camera: 8 megapixels at the rear 2MP at the front (rear and front 1.9MP)
- Size: 146,5 x 76,9 x 9,6mm (against 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6mm)
- Weight: 162g (against 133g)
- Battery: 2.100mAh (same)

More details Samsung will only unveil at CES in January but it already releases some good things. With the increase of the screen Samsung will use the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) customary by it, which allows to use two applications on the same screen, ie multitasking as in Notes 2. The rest is basically what we are used to seeing if we have a Galaxy SIII, S Mini or Note.

It will come in two versions, one with Dual SIM Version (GT-I9082) and the other with only one SIM Version (GT-I9080). Strangely the Dual SIM version will be released first, but still no date or advertised pricing, and will allow you to be talking on one SIM card and receiving calls on the other.

But now with the launch of the Grand, I imagine that Samsung's strategy will be to have screens of all sizes for all tastes. As far as I know there are already devices with screens of 4.0, 4.8, 5.0, 7.0, 7.7, 8.9, 10.1 inches, were any missing? If it is missing, it should be those of the next releases that should occupy the 6, 9 or 11 inches. Who knows…
