LG Knock Code

There are several ways to unlock a smartphone. We started with the traditional numeric code, then the patterns appeared, in which we have to connect some pre-defined points. There are still image patterns where we have to click on specific points in the image so that the smartphone is unlocked. And do not forget the unlocking by facial recognition and fingerprints.

It appeared that there was no room for maneuver smartphones, until the LG came with a really innovative proposal: code for beats on the screen.

The functionality was called “knock Code”(Which translating would be“beat code" or "beat code“) And will be included in the smartphone LG G Pro 2.

The mode of operation is simple, each user must define a sequence of "beats" on the screen to unlock the smartphone. The same procedure can be used to lock the screen. According to LG, it will be possible to create up to 86 thousand combinations of beats.

Fortunately, now we have very resistant screens (Gorilla Glass technology and the like), otherwise a good part of the users would be afraid to “spank” their screen.

Below we leave the video with this functionality in action:

LG will provide more details on the “knock Code" during the Mobile World Congress 2014, which will start on Monday, 24 in February in Barcelona.

The Knock Code promotional video was provided by LG, worth seeing.
