How are we classified?
Angola entered for the first time in the World Ranking of Innovation Ecosystems for Startups, according to the most recent report prepared annually by the company Startup Blink, which is dedicated to mapping global ecosystems to Startups and innovation.
O Global Startup Ecosystem Index, aims to provide free quality information for startup founders to make smart decisions about relocating and the right place to build and build their startups, as well as give them visibility and attract relevant actors into these ecosystems .
Within this world ecosystem, Angola ranks 115, becoming the fourth Portuguese-speaking country to be present in the 2021 World Ranking of Startups Ecosystems after Brazil, Portugal and Cape Verde. In addition, the Global Startup Ecosystem Index indicates that Angola also ranks 2nd for startups in Central Africa.
There is certainly still a lot of work to be done locally, in terms of legislation, funding as well as other factors that can help to develop the business environment in Angola, having done so, it is believed that the external incentive will be greater and the economy of the country will win.
