Angolan financial companies should see Openbanking as an opportunity, says expert

Angolan financial institutions must face the Openbanking as an opportunity and “not as a threat to get closer to their customers”, in the opinion of the representative of Digital Banking Solutions (DBS) “Digital banking solutions”, Nuno Fernandes.

Speaking at the event “The future of banking now. Where time and technology converge”, the expert informed that the evolution of the country's banking sector is aligned with best international practices and with a focus on digital solutions.

Nuno Fernandes reinforces that they are taking an important step, with the opening of Digital Banking Solutions (DBS), because the projects implemented effectively require greater proximity to customers.

BUT: Open Banking begins to gain ground in Angola even without regulation

He explained that customers have to look at banks as partners, trying to be more transparent in this process, providing services and “almost no need to appear and provide financial services, without customers realizing that they are purchasing financial services".

He added that Digital Banking Solutions wants to form local bank consultancy teams for a smoother adoption of the technology.

Bank employee Vasco Oliveira says that the sector is at an ideal moment of transition, taking into account the dynamism of the market, which is increasingly growing, with adaptation to equipment, solutions and systems for the future.

In your opinion, it is important that Angola can carry out an internal analysis of all changes.
