On the other hand, Check Point Research (CPR) revealed in its latest that cyber attacks in Angola increased by about 58% compared to the year 2020.

According to CPR, the weekly average of cyber attacks in the country rose from 1.637 in 2020 to 2.586 in 2021. That is, on average, an organization in Angola was attacked 2.586 times a week, says the head of Check Point Research for Angola, Marla Mendes, in an interview for the newspaper Expansion.

As for the main targets of the attacks, the report states that one of the most affected sectors in Angola was the financial/banking sector, with a weekly average of 1.620 attacks per organization. Worldwide, the most affected sector was Education, with an average of 1.605 attacks per week per institution in the sector.
